Scientists Are Elevated to the Ultimate Authority

Society defers to scientists to define the world, despite our rational senses.

It’s a scientifically provable fact that the Earth is a stationary, non-rotating, level plane.  

Despite my confidence in this fact, this observable truth of our realm holds little authority in the minds of others, especially those entranced by a spinning globe. After some discussion with globers, I'm usually confronted with, "But what about space scientists? They know better than you." 

My tactic has typically been to reply with how it's all made up, but I've noticed that doesn't give me much credibility to, in a single stroke, defame all the white-coated scientists with credentials after their names. Their titles and attire have earned them an authoritative status in the minds’ of the people so only scientists are entitled to define this world, despites our own rational senses.

People reference the abundance of scientific work and technology as self-evident that the Earth is a globe. Just look at the fact that there is so much funding for space research. “It has to be true,“ they argue. ”That’s one scam too big to pull off.”

While people of today want to bolster their globe model on the claim that academia, the government, and corporations have access to powerful technologies, when heliocentrism was first taking a strong hold in the mid-nineteenth century, scientists didn't have telescopes any more powerful than modern-day cell phones or high-power cameras, which today anyone can purchase.  

Let me put it this way: Would you feel confident making the claim with your camera or cell phone that what you see in the night sky are planets millions and trillions of light years away with life whirling through space? Essentially that’s what scientists of the past did.

While people of today want to cite the existence of the fields of astrophysics and space science as self-evident proof that the Earth is a space ball, this was not how it was presented historically.

Historically, scientists didn’t have NASA's space imagery to bolster their claims. They didn't have Elon Musk's Space X missions nor university aerospace engineering departments. They didn't have Star Wars, Star Trek, or The Jetson to endear the masses to outer space.

They didn't have television in every household with a tightly controlled narrative propagated by multinational corporations. There was no high-speed internet. There wasn't even space travel, rocket ships, or satellites yet.

What was it that convinced people to drop their common sense logic and adopt a sun-centered world?

People used to know the Earth was stationary and gave credence to a Creator. The transfer of deference from God to scientists took hold in the mid to late nineteenth century when the widespread indoctrination of heliocentrism spread its message.

All the scientists of yesteryear had were pamphlets that were printed and widely distributed to spread their ideology. If we reflect back on those pamphlets we can see that the shape of the Earth was not a scientific debate, but rather a moral and philosophical one. 

Deference to Authority

The discourse on the shape of the Earth - or more so a discourse describing the cosmos - was a choice between if one aligned with the institutions and educated men. Or were they of the uneducated class?

Anyone of status would not want to appear uneducated so sides were taken. Through this debate, the proponents of heliocentrism took the strategy to be slanderous and force readers to stand on the side of ignorance or enlightenment.

Belief in heliocentrism was a status symbol.

It was a new world where Science - with a capital S - was given ultimate authority. Today, we have that same legacy strong holding the minds of the people. It’s common knowledge that Scientists know better than we do, despite what our own eyes can directly observe.

As I stated earlier, it’s a scientifically provable fact that the Earth is a stationary, non-rotating, level plane.

But Scientists, especially those whose livelihood depends on upholding the heliocentric model, will dismiss any rational evidence that is contrary to their beliefs.

One such Flat Earther gained access to an exclusive interview with one of today’s top astrophysicists. Early in the interview the Scientist acknowledges that direct observation is the highest authority of knowing. When observation contradicts a model, the model is clearly wrong and must be adjusted, she explains.

Yet, as the interview progressed and the interviewer presented more and more evidence that showed cracks in the heliocentric model, she denied these observable truths and asked to end the interview.

These Scientists are the same professors indoctrinating the youth and paid staff at the same institutions that funnel tax-payer money into their bogus space research departments. While we want to raise children to be respectful, it is more important than ever to raise children to trust their senses and not bypass their own logic by deferring to illogical scientific claims.
